1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the BucketRace website (bucketrace.com) and participation in BucketRace events. By booking an event or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. BucketRace is operated by BucketRace Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.

2. Definitions

  • "BucketRace," "we," "us," "our" refers to BucketRace Ltd.
  • "You," "your," "customer" refers to the person making the booking or participating in an event.
  • "Event" refers to any scavenger hunt, team building activity, or experience provided by BucketRace.
  • "Booking" refers to a confirmed reservation for an event.

3. Bookings

All bookings are subject to availability. A booking is only confirmed once you receive written confirmation (via email) from BucketRace. For private events, a deposit may be required to secure your date. The booking holder is responsible for ensuring all participants are made aware of these Terms.

By making a booking, you confirm that all information provided is accurate and complete. BucketRace reserves the right to cancel or refuse bookings at our discretion.

4. Pricing & Payment

All prices displayed on our website are in British Pounds (GBP) and include VAT where applicable. Prices are subject to change without notice, but confirmed bookings will be honoured at the agreed price.

Payment for public events must be made in full at the time of booking. For private events, payment terms will be outlined in your booking confirmation. Full payment must be received before the event date unless otherwise agreed in writing.

5. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Public Events

Tickets for public events can be cancelled up to 7 days before the event date for a full refund. Cancellations made within 7 days of the event are non-refundable but may be transferred to another date, subject to availability.

Private Events

  • More than 14 days before the event: Full refund minus deposit.
  • 7–14 days before the event: 50% of the total booking fee is payable.
  • Less than 7 days before the event: Full booking fee is payable.

BucketRace may, at its sole discretion, offer date transfers in lieu of refunds. All cancellations must be made in writing to [email protected].

Cancellation by BucketRace

In the unlikely event that BucketRace needs to cancel an event (due to extreme weather, safety concerns, or other circumstances beyond our control), you will be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule at no additional cost.

6. Event Participation

Participants must behave responsibly during all events. BucketRace reserves the right to remove any participant whose behaviour is deemed dangerous, disruptive, or inappropriate, without refund.

Participants should wear suitable clothing and footwear for outdoor activities. Some events involve walking significant distances across uneven surfaces. Participants are responsible for assessing their own fitness to participate.

Participants must comply with all applicable laws during the event, including road safety rules, public order regulations, and any venue-specific rules.

7. Health & Safety

All participants take part in BucketRace events at their own risk. If you have any pre-existing medical conditions or mobility issues, please inform us before the event so we can advise on suitability and make reasonable accommodations.

Participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. The booking holder is responsible for the supervision of minors in their group.

8. Liability

BucketRace takes reasonable steps to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all events. However, to the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • BucketRace is not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage to property arising from participation in our events, except where caused by our negligence.
  • BucketRace is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental losses.
  • Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the booking.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the BucketRace website, including text, images, logos, route designs, challenges, and branding, is the property of BucketRace Ltd and is protected by copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without written permission.

Photos and videos taken during events may be used by BucketRace for marketing purposes unless you inform us otherwise in writing before the event.

10. Force Majeure

BucketRace is not liable for failure to perform obligations due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: severe weather, natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, transport disruptions, or acts of terrorism.

11. Changes to These Terms

BucketRace reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
